Invite your team
Add teammates to your client account, assign their roles and branch access, and manage their permissions.
Once your account exists, bring in your team. OmniValVMS gives you two ways to add people, depending on whether they're internal staff or an external party.
Two ways to add people
| Method | Use it for | Endpoint |
|---|---|---|
| Create a user directly | Internal staff you manage (ops, finance, QC) | |
| Send an invitation | People who accept and set up their own login |
Create a user directly
Creating a user provisions their account, assigns a role and branch access, and emails them a password-setup link. This is the fastest way to stand up your internal team.
Create the user
They set their password
The new user receives a welcome email with a password-reset link and signs in for the first time.
Confirm they're active
Users can be scoped to specific branches and sub-groups. A user only sees the orders and data for the branches they're assigned to — see Roles & permissions for how access is enforced.
Send an invitation
Invitations let the recipient accept and set up their own access. You can list, update, and revoke pending invitations.
| Action | Endpoint |
|---|---|
| Send an invitation | |
| List pending invitations | |
| Update an invitation | |
| Revoke an invitation |
Managing existing users
| Action | Endpoint |
|---|---|
| View a user | |
| Update a user (role, branches) | |
| Search users (paginated) | |
| Remove a user |
Updating a user's role revokes their active sessions so the new permissions take effect immediately. The user will need to sign in again. The master user cannot be deleted.
